Getting Started
Why CalmUI
Build reusable Unreal interfaces with a focused visual workflow.
Unreal's built-in UI tools are useful, but large menus can become difficult to reuse and maintain. CalmUI gives you a separate Studio made for Views, components, styles, assets, and live preview.
What this changes for you
- Build a button once and reuse it on many screens.
- Keep common colors and spacing in one place.
- Edit a screen while the Unreal project is open.
- Save a change without restarting Play In Editor.
- Test several resolutions from the same preview toolbar.
Familiar, but focused
CalmUI uses familiar ideas such as rows, columns, padding, hover states, and reusable components. It does not load websites and it is not a web browser.
Gameplay data remains in Unreal. CalmUI displays that data and sends actions such as Continue, Buy, or Close back to the game.
You can begin entirely in Studio. The later reference pages explain source files and Unreal integration when you need more control.
