Run UI Tests
Run a prepared UI test, read its result, and edit its steps in Studio.
Open Tests in the Activity Bar and choose UI Tests. The list shows your project's tests and their last results.

The header holds Run all, Run test, Stop, and New test. The
selected test (ShowcaseSmoke here) shows its sequence of blocks from
Start to Finish, such as Wait until ready and Check viewport;
use Add step to insert another block at the end.
Run a test
- Select a test from the list.
- Review its steps from Start to Finish.
- Click Run test.
- Wait for preparation to finish. Preparing the package and starting Unreal can take longer than an individual test step.
- Read the completed result. A failed step shows its error message.
Use Run all for the full project list. Stop ends the active test and its Unreal process. Open Output → Tests for details if startup or a step fails.
Edit a test
Add, remove, move, or edit a block to change the sequence. Each block exposes its inputs. Save changes and run the test again; a result from before the edit is marked stale and does not validate the new sequence.
Use reload when a test file was changed by another program. Test definitions
are normal project files under tests/; results are kept separately.
Read results correctly
Green means the test's checks passed. Red means a check failed. Screenshot tests compare against a saved expected image; they do not decide whether the design is good. Review your actual game UI yourself as well.
UI tests do not replace the final packaged check. They can prove the prepared steps and assertions for their named target, but they do not prove host-asset cooking, packaged cultures, controller conflicts, GPU cost, or subjective visual quality on another machine.
For layout at several sizes, choose Responsive. For timings and memory, choose Profiler. See Checking your UI.
