Creating Components

Create a reusable component in CalmUI Studio.

  1. Open a project.
  2. Click + beside Components.
  3. Choose a starter type.
  4. Enter a name beginning with a capital letter.
  5. Click Create.

The + beside Components lets you pick a starter type: Panel, Button, Text, Image, Progress Bar or Empty.

The Template dropdown sets the starting markup: Panel, Button, Text, Image, Progress Bar, or Empty for a blank component. Picking a starter close to what you are building saves you from writing the initial structure and scoped style by hand.

Studio creates the component and opens it in the editor. Drag it onto a View to use it. Changes made to the component appear everywhere that component is used after you save.
