Objects and Lists in Blueprint
Update structured game data after completing the basic Store tutorial.
Start with Update game values. That tutorial covers loading the package, selecting a field, writing a value, and checking errors. The structured nodes below are under CalmUI | Advanced | Store and use the same player's subsystem as Target. Scalar Bool, Int, Float, String, Name, Text, and Null nodes take a Player Controller directly; use the basic Store tutorial for those.
Update an object
An object groups related fields. For example, an item could contain label and
count. Define its type in Studio Store first.
Use Set CalmUI Object with the object's Store Field Reference and a
Members array. Each member uses FCalmUiStoreObjectMemberValue: select its
member field reference and provide a matching value. Select references from the
same package as the object.
Check Return Value. With Atomic enabled, the node saves the change by itself. For a group of writes, turn it off and use Begin/Commit as described in the basic guide.
Update a list
Give list items a stable key, such as inventory item ID potion-01. This key
identifies the item even if its position changes.
| Node | What to supply |
|---|---|
| Insert CalmUI Keyed Array Item | Array field, item key, member values, and insertion index |
| Update CalmUI Keyed Array Item | Array field, existing key, and the member to change |
| Remove CalmUI Keyed Array Item | Array field and existing key |
| Move CalmUI Keyed Array Item | Array field, existing key, and destination index |
Use FCalmUiStoreKey for the key and FCalmUiStoreObjectMemberValue for member
values. A string key must match a string key field; an integer key must match an
integer key field. Do not use an item's current list position as its key.
Start after Open CalmUI Screen → Completed, and check every Return Value. Use Get CalmUI Store Error to inspect a failed Store operation.
Read structured values or use JSON
Get CalmUI Object JSON and Get CalmUI Array JSON return text containing the current object or list. JSON write nodes are available under CalmUI | Advanced | Store when your integration already uses JSON data. Prefer the member and key inputs above for a graph built directly in Blueprint.
To react to changes, follow Receive events. To let a button ask the game to modify this data, follow Button actions.
