How To
Build practical CalmUI workflows in Unreal with Blueprint.
These tutorials start in Studio and finish with an observable result in Unreal. They use Blueprint for host integration. You do not need to write C++.
Studio calls an authored screen a View. Unreal nodes call the same item a
Screen. Each tutorial uses package Gameplay; choose your own package and
Screen names if they differ. Names in these guides are placeholders rather than
contracts owned by CalmUI.
Before you begin, install the Unreal plugin, connect Studio to Unreal, and wait until the package is Up to date.
Build a HUD with Store data
Open a HUD and update its Store values from Blueprint.
Handle a button action
Turn a Studio button into a validated host request.
Show notifications
Configure the per-player queue and display a completed host event.
Show loading in a modal
Block the menu while an asynchronous host operation runs.
Put a View on a world surface
Render a View into a texture for an in-world monitor.
Particles and effects
Build a click spark burst and a border runner from CSS alone.
Start with the HUD tutorial. It introduces the Player Controller-first path, package loading, Store field references, success outputs, and visible error handling.
